Presentation
These hands-on sessions go along with course 5MM29 “High performance computing for numerical methods and data analysis” and propose an initiation to parallel programming in a distributed environment with MPI (Message Passing Interface).
Organization
There will be 3 sessions of 2 hours each.
The first session will take place on Monday, November 22th, from 5pm to 7pm in micro Room 519 at the Atrium.
The second session will take place remotely on Monday, November 29th, from 5pm to 7pm, at

Prerequisites
In these sessions, we suppose that you are familiar with a compiled language (such as C
, C++
, Fortran
, …).
We will need to work in a development environment that offers a C++
compiler along with an MPI library such as mpich or openmpi.
